Casa San Domenico

Casa San Domenico project is the latest finished product of the VBL Group. This mid-sized property has been operational since early 2023.

Casa San Domenico serves as a trial for a few improvements which the Group would like to extend to its full portfolio in the coming years, this includes elements like smart access system, room management systems, energy efficiency solutions all of which are in inline with the Groups ESG commitment going forward. 

VBL obtained a Full Development permit in 2022 allowing the extension of the upper floor which secured an additional unit. During the planning phase the usable area was maximized, and the project resulted in 8 units out of which 2 units are single rooms.  The property is also served with a common kitchen and a breakfast area which is most favourable for a midscale property focusing on the young professional market. These two areas were entirely left on stone creating a unique atmosphere in keeping with the Valletta product. The kitchen was designed to serve all the needs of the guests staying in the property while also ensuring durability.

The interior design of this project was done by the in house team. The outcome is a typical VBL style design mixing modern furniture pieces with typical traditional Maltese features, such as exposed stone walls, wrought iron railings, reclaimed Maltese patterned tiles.

The configuration of the rooms allows flexible use, each double unit can be offered as a twin or double room according to the guests requests. Each unit is equipped with a comfortably sized en-suite bathroom. The single units enjoy their own private terraces having Three Cities, Valletta City and sea views.
